1. About the Service
Reflectα is a web application that supports the recording of English-learning motivation, goals, action plans, and reflections, as well as the review and aggregation of participation by authorized teachers.
2. Eligible Users
Reflectα is intended for students, teachers, and other users who have received access instructions from a school or service operator and whose account has been registered or issued in advance. Eligibility and access scope are determined by the affiliation, role, and status assigned to each account.
Teacher-facing roles include Teacher, which can view only the current research cohort; Academic, which retains the established teacher viewing scope for the user's school; and Admin, which can use Student functions and teacher functions equivalent to Academic. Responses from internal test accounts are excluded from standard research analytics.
3. Sign-In and Account Management
- When using Google Sign-In, use the Google Account identified in the access instructions.
- Do not share passwords, access keys, or other authentication information with third parties.
- Do not impersonate another person or access another person's records without authorization.
- If an account is lost, registered incorrectly, or suspected of misuse, promptly contact the school or service operator.
4. Entering Learning Records
Users should enter content that is appropriate as their own learning record. Do not unnecessarily include another person's sensitive personal information, passwords, authentication information, or other information unsuitable for sharing in written-response fields.
Creating or editing responses, goals, and reflections may record history and revision information.
5. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is prohibited when using Reflectα:
- Using another person's account or authentication information
- Attempting to access, alter, or delete data without authorization
- Placing an excessive load on Reflectα or an external service
- Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities, use unauthorized automation, or bypass authentication
- Conduct that violates applicable law, school rules, research rules, or public order and morals
- Any other conduct that interferes with operation of the service
6. Data Handling
Personal information, Google Sign-In information, and learning records are handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
If separate information is provided regarding research use of data, consent, or conditions for participation, that information also applies.
7. Changes or Suspension of the Service
All or part of Reflectα may be changed or suspended, with advance notice or on an emergency basis, due to maintenance, incident response, security measures, external-platform constraints, or operational necessity.
If a material change affects how user data is handled, the Privacy Policy and other relevant notices will also be updated.
8. Suspension of Use
If use that violates these Terms or applicable school or research rules is identified, access to an account or the service may be suspended to the extent necessary for security or operation.
9. Warranties and Liability
Reflectα is provided for education, research, and learning support. It does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular learning outcome, or complete accuracy of analytical results.
The operator will make reasonable efforts to provide secure operation and incident response. However, the service may be unavailable because of external-service outages, network or device conditions, force majeure, or similar circumstances.
10. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as Reflectα features or operating methods change. The latest update date appears at the top of this page.
